Yes or No - Decision Maker

FAQ

Everything people usually ask about the app. If yours isn't here, send it over.

How does it decide?

Randomly, with an even chance either way. There is no analysis of your question — the app never sees what you asked, because you don't type it in. You hold the question in your head, press DECIDE, and get a coin toss with a nicer interface.

Is it really random, or does it balance the results out?

Really random, and it does not correct itself. Four yeses in a row is what randomness looks like from close up — a sequence that alternated politely would be the rigged one. Nothing tracks your previous answers or tries to even them out.

What else is in the app besides yes and no?

A coin flip, a decision wheel you can type your own options into, a random number generator for a range you choose, spin the bottle, and a random finger picker where everyone puts a finger on the screen and it selects one.

What is the finger picker for?

Choosing a person rather than an option. Everyone holds a finger on the screen, it counts down, and one is picked. It is the fastest fair way to decide who goes first, who pays, or who has to make the phone call — and because the phone chose, nobody has to.

Can I change how it looks?

Yes. There are seven themes: Default Dark, Default Light, Lucky Gold, Neon Cyber, Forest Zen, Crimson Fate and Solar Flare.

Which languages does it support?

Eighteen: Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian. It follows your device language automatically.

Should I use this for important decisions?

No — and if you find yourself unhappy with the answer it gave, that is genuinely useful information about what you actually wanted. Use it for lunch, for who does the washing up, and for the choices where the deliberation costs more than the outcome.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Everything runs on your device.

Is it free?

Yes, free on both the App Store and Google Play, supported by ads.

What is the difference between this and Spin The Wheel - Choose?

This app is built for a fast answer with as little setup as possible, and the wheel inside it is one of six tools. Spin The Wheel - Choose is the wheel as a whole app — saved wheels, custom colours and photos per slice, themes and sounds. Use this one to decide something now; use that one if you spin the same set of options regularly.
